How long till I will see results?

My hair has been falling out for the last couple of years and has gotten really bad. I have had my iron checked and was told that it was low, a level of 12 not sure what my hemoglobin level is. I have just purchased your IronSmart and I am wondering how long it will take before I start seeing results? What dosage should I be taking?

Hi,

If the 12 is your ferritin level that is very low! You can take the pregnancy does for a month and then get your Iron retested. If it goes up after that you can then go to the 1-2 tsp dose.

The time in which you see results is going to depend on how long it takes to raise your levels. The test range for ferritin is 15-160 ug/L for women, ideally you want to be around 70 ug/L. So you can see how low you are. Once you are able to raise the levels, hair growth should start again. This will take time as it is new hair that will be growing in, hair grows about a 1/4 to 1/2 an inch a month.

You can also take a collagen supplement to help the health of the new hair that is still currently growing on your head.

I hope that helps!
